What a pretty machine. Great job, Wyatt! If you didn't point out the new bedplate frame, I'd never know.

Do you plan to add the 4 little metal buttons at each corner of the motor frame, as were used on mahogany models? They are the same as those used on Triumphs.

The Opera, Triumph and Ideal have the buttons. Of the mahogany Home models I have worked on (3 total) I do not recall any of them having the lid buttons. I worked on earlier Model "A" versions of the Home, not a later model like this one. So, I could be wrong.

That is beautiful work Wyatt. A really nice machine. I'm not sure what I'm more impressed by, the new bed plate or the corner repair.
Thanks for sharing

I used to own a Model B mahogany Home with J repeater. (Why, oh why did I sell it??) It had the metal buttons in the corners.

Yup, my mahogany Home has them too, (as well as my mahogany Standard).
Great job by the way! I bid on that cabinet briefly but I'm glad you got it, especially since you've got it done and I would not have touched it for years.

I have a 1905 Model B Mohoghany Home with Banner Decal, and it does not have the 4 metal buttons either.

I was not aware the banner home was available with a mahogany case.
