That's even worse. It should have gone for 30. I'm really puzzled. I saw the machine. It was really very nice, unmolested.

The internet auction was a disaster, the live feed & audio was not working most of the time and the bids were slow getting through. I actually bid on the Idealia and it closed before my bid could be registered.

There is no Sales Tax at this auction, as announced by Randy Donley at the start. Due to it being an "estate" sale, the State Sales Tax people granted a waiver.

I have Comcast high speed internet service and had no problems with my connection. I also bid on several items. A few I still kicking myself for not making one more bid, oh well. There will be more today on Sundays auction.

Strange. I too have Comcast hi-speed internet and was communicating with buyer in Europe and his live feed/audio was going down at exactly the same times as mine.

The audio/video was poor. To the point it was discontinued early in the auction. However, this had no effect on the bidding. At least many up here had no problem at all.

Sorry about that. I was watching but it was out of my price range. Someone got a real deal.

You were not far off. The auction had a 15% buyer penalty on it so the idealia would have been 11K plus another 1650. Which is 12,650. Easier to say $13,000. Still looks like a good deal if you had to have one.

$9000 (10,350) for a Victor B seems like alot of money to me.

The auction was interesting to say the least. Some very big money chasing a handful of very rare items.
There were also a lot of nice collector machines which did not go for the expected range.

I can not comment upon all of them but there were a couple of machines which had issues, which I think the big and educated buyers would be able to see first hand. I saw a couple of very nice machines with old reproduction decals which indicated they had been redone many years ago.

I was disappointed in the lack of video but that rarely offered by auction houses and maybe they will get it right next time. I to was beat out by the slow internet during bidding frenzies but when I wanted an item I waited until the ending soon tabs came up and I was able to bid - successfully several times so I am happy with the show.

Overall not a bad auction but I miss the added description provided by Stanton who in person adds detailed commentary like correct reproducer or repainted horn etc. It would be a real ground breaker if Stantons moved to internet bidding.
