My C-19 gets used the most, by far. Next in line would be my Standard Model A "banner" with winged C reproducer for 2 minute records and then the Amberola D-X for 4 minute records.

For regular 78s it was the EMG Xa until the spring broke, and for the time being it's the Expert Junior until I get the EMG spring replaced. I also frequently use the Columbia 810 in my living room. I figure that if I keep using it, my wife would think twice before chopping it in little pieces - she hates that huge box in the living room.

For Pathé discs I like to use the Pathé Concert (made to play the 50 cm discs) and the concert automatique (coin-op), both sound great with their large horns.

Blue Amberols I hear with the Opera, and 2-minute cylinders with a Columbia BK equally shared with an Edison home (which I use to play wax amberols).

I also use frequenly the one I keep in my garage (where I store and clean the discs), it's a HMV made for India, theoretically transportable (it has a handle) but very heavy and bulky - great sound, though. I like to play it when I am cleaning the discs.

My VV 4-20, VV 350, and VE 8-35X get the most play in my house. All three sound quite impressive.

I really like my Suitcase Home, they are just an interesting looking machine, and Mine is an early 1897 one (no. 1265) It actually plays very smoothly when it is adjusted. I had just serviced how it works and it plays Very well Still plays about 4 2 minute records with the original spring . I wish I had a Spring motor, I have a Triumph A which is technically a spring motor. I just think the spring motors are really neat as they have a Class M topworks. What I play most. I use my Triumph with Edison studio recorder for work, it is part of cogs of InnerSpeaker Records. But audition most of my cylinders on an Edison model B Home. Though if you count over the years My Amberola 30 gets the most plays as I have more Blue Amberols. The C19 Edison Diamond Disc plays a lot.

I only have one playable machine which is a Edison Model B Home with nothing special and that's the most reason i playing it most.

drh: Don't be ashamed! I empathize as sometimes my machine of choice comes about the same way.

I tend to play Diamond Discs most, on the C19 since it's in the living room, whereas my Schubert is in the bedroom and tends to collect things on top of it.

Cylinders are second on the frequency list, and the 1A gets the most use, being so versatile. Oddly, I don't play Blue Amberols all that much, so the Opera doesn't see much use. I'm more apt to switch the Diamond A onto the 1A for them. Being somewhat unsteady runners compared to the 1A, my two Triumphs (2/4 B and E) are largely silent.

For shellac discs, the Credenza if I want loud, full sound, or the 8-12 if I'm just casually listening, or want to hear a record NOW, as the Credenza is in the dining room and requires removing objets d'art from the lid.

For disc records it's currently a Brunswick Cortez. For cylinders, it's an Edison Opera. While they are both nice listen to, the main reason for the choice of either one comes down to accessibility, sorry to say.

I play my 8-9 the most,it is number 915 and the trim is green (no turquoise).
I also have a QRS portable but it is hidden away.

For 2 minute cylinders (and the occasional wax Amberol), the Home A.

For 4 minute celluloid, the Amberola 30.

For acoustic 78s (and 12 inch discs), the BI.

For 10 inch electrics, the P-1.

For DDs, the C-250.
