Several years ago, I tried to buy a Home Model A motor from Croakinfrog through Ebay. I asked the seller if the motor was minty because I explained to him that it was going to be installed in a very nice Home A. He then sent me a note back telling me to "go back in time if I wanted something mint" and then proceeded to ban me from bidding on any of his future auctions. I am still banned from this seller's auctions.

That's excellent. I know both of these guys to be very decent fellows.Andersun wrote:Update: Mark contacted me today and it's water under the bridge.Andersun wrote:Folks,

I'm happy that this thread served an unintended but worthwhile purpose.

Just want to say that I have bought parts from Mark, and his parts have been great. I have a beautiful Edison Home B thanks to Mark, he was able to supply me a good case bottom with nice original decal.

I am also in the DC area (College Park MD). I do have a machine like yours so you can see how they go together, or I could take photos of an assembled unit. I don't think I have the part you need(I'll take a look in the parts pile tonight and let you know). There is a phonograph show in Wayne NJ on the 12th and you can probably pick one up there. It's worth the drive from DC in any case if you are free that Sunday.

The Amberola 30 is a pretty common machine, and the same type of motor was used on several other models so this is not going to be a hard part to find.
Edit: I don't have the part.
