Your ten years too late. Interesting it too was sold with a incorrect "Columbia" reproducer (looks very close to the original). John, you may want to try one on your machine until a correct reproducer and or recorder can be found.

Fascinating that this one shows a Columbia floating reproducer. I was wondering if one would fit, but I don't have one to try it out. The one I do have is missing the part that goes onto the reproducer neck. Maybe it is worth buying one to see if it fits. If so I could use it until an original reproducer comes along.

I notice that this one has the ID plate in back, whereas mine has it in front.

Well, that's just four screws and a previous owner may have just not noticed when placed back on the mounting board. If switched around....the ID plate would be on the front as well.

John, I don't know if this would work, or is correct, but here is a Thorens reproducer for sale:

Hi Curt
Thanks, I did see that and the other two he has on there. I wrote to him and it turns out that the Thorens would be correct except that it is for the Cleopatra model, which has a larger diameter carriage neck. The other floating reproducers he has on there are slightly too short to work. Arrgh, I was so disappointed to hear that!!
Thanks again for checking! I think I'll have to get a Columbia floating reproducer. Anyone got an affordable one? It has to be the model with the sapphire holder attached to the diaphragm, not the one with the sapphire on a bar.

Actually John, This reproducer & recorder may work. However, they are with a machine currently for sale in Germany and marked for that particular machine....

. The pics do give a better idea how complicated the reproducer is. So, here are the two now for sale and the pic again of the exact two you need. Even the containers are virtually the same..

Britannia Reproducer & Recorder.jpg
Actually, those are for an Excelsior phonograph but certain models will work. Paul Baker told me that reproducers with the bar mounted sapphire (like the Excelsior) will not work. The reproducer that says Britannia is the one I need, although there are a couple others that will work as well. Thanks!!
