Thanks again gentlemen, for this is too much fun! Yes you're absolutely right Clay, the grill is missing but I do have in my possession the original grill. Though it's in a couple pieces, it is 95% or so complete. Is there a way to resurrect this grill? Or is there possibly a replacement, though not necessarily original but compatible? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

While I have not used him myself, some of our Forum members have spoken highly of grills made by "Gramp's Treasurers." You might want to give him a call. Likely if you sent him the bits of the original he could reproduce it.

I am not too certain of that Singer being related to the sewing machine company - have you anything to show that?

Yes Estott, you're absolutely right. I was corrected privately w/ this information. There was very little information on the Singer w/ the exception of a short You Tube video. However, no excuse for my ignorance & will correct accordingly.
And Clay, thanks for the reference in regards to the grill restoration. I will contact "Gramp's Treasures" first thing Monday morning.

No problem with the error- that sort of thing is common. I've seen speakers with a large VICTOR badge on them sold as VTM products , when they were made by the unrelated Victor Animatograph Company, a major supplier of magic lantern equipment and 16mm projectors.
