The off-site (Internet) bidding cost was 7% tax, 3% credit card use, and 21% Internet fee and now understand the onsite fee was 15%. So just 6% difference.
My Belgium Gothic cabinet with the Columbia record player was a winning bid at $375, but final cost was $485. Glad member "Kirkwood" feels that was a good price. Thanks for the info about this cabinet being in your church, that's great. I'm anxious to see what the inside looks like and if the player is a Period model type. Below is a Gothic cabinet for sale on CL ($1200) in a Sarasta FL antique store and figure the inside is empty.

Very nice phonograph and it will make a spectacular center piece in your collection.
You must have a very understanding spouse to bring a large Gothic machine like that into your home. Even though most of my collection is in the basement I am not sure I could get this one past the front door.

I was wanting the Mahogany Triumph but at 3000.00 and then the fees were too much for me. It was a rare machine and looked ok.
