Ah yes, I remember it well!

It's an Olds Aurora mid-size sedan, which I have used to transport several large uprights including an Amberola 1A, at least 2 Chippendales, several cylinder cabinets, and a Victrola XI (one at a time of course!) And yes, the lids had to come off the Edisons...

Sadly, the car was just a few inches too small to fit the Schubert I had intended to buy last year. Such is life. :(

I'm happy to say that this machine has finally been rescued by a Forum member -- who assures me that he's got the answer now to the age-old question "Will there be a Victrola in your home this Christmas?"!
