My recently acquired 1-C Long Playing Console:

1) What is the model? Long Playing console: 1-C

2) What is the serial number on the dataplate? 1054

3) Is there a speed control knob present in the left hand corner of the motor-plate? NO

4) What finish is present on the hardware and reproducer? "Gun-metal"

5) Which reproducer(s) are present? Edisonic/New Standard ("square" weight type), and Long Playing reproducers present

6) Does your Phonograph (Schubert/Beethoven owners) have the Long and Short gearing present? N/A

7) Does your Phonograph have the "10 and 12 inch" buttons present? NO

8) Are there any other special attachments present: Double reproducer holder as original -- mounted to rear of turntable compartment

9) Are there any original documents or dealer identification with, or fastened to, your Phonograph? NO

10) What is the Cabinet Factory No. (if a sticker is present inside the horn compartment)? Cabinet Factory No.18

Missing: Crank escutcheon, door pull knobs, grille material destroyed and/or missing, door panel decorative moldings missing -- except ONE corner piece. Overall, unit in poor condition and finish very moldy. Purchased 3-20-2016 at an estate auction held by "Sweet & Harding" in Lockport, NY.

Hiya folks!

Incidentally: does anyone know why there is this cleat inside the turntable compartment? The 1-C didn't have a turntable trim-piece did it?

EDIT: I realize now that the cleat is merely a "blind stop" for the cabinet door, to prevent it from over-travel when closing.

or any other interesting additional features? "New Laboratory Model" on decal

9) Are there any original documents or dealer identification with, or fastened to, your Phonograph? "NO"

10) What is the Cabinet Factory No. (if a sticker is present inside the horn compartment)? "N/A"

Video is a few years old now... I should probably make a new HD video for posterity. I pretty much never play these long play discs (for good reason!).

Sorry it took me so long to respond, my posts get buried pretty quickly sometimes, and I just got back to this one.

I don't have your 3-C on file (so to speak), would you be kind enough to take the entire survey on page 1 of this thread, I don't want to overlook anything?

In the spirit of coaxing others to participate in the survey, I thought I should post here a picture of my now completed 1-C. It was discovered languishing in the basement of a home in which an estate sale had been conducted. Through the alert of one of our members (Edisone), I managed to track it down; my son and daughter-in-law were kind enough to pick it up for me and go out of their way to deliver it to me -- a round trip of about 120 miles.

I replaced the grille material with an accurate reproduction of my own undertaking, and I'm especially pleased for the way everything eventually turned out.
