That's more than I paid for my house! I'll bet the seller is happy!

Amazing--- $60K.. and I'm was sweating paying $400 for a minty Fireside this week.

It was fun seeing the Tin Can online and watching the bidding.. I was glued to the screen for the last 3 minutes just wanting to see where it would go. I suspect the seller just moved up to a higher tax bracket.

Wow.... I know of at least one very mint example selling for less. That's going into record (no pun intended) territory for any phonograph.

IS that a record price for ANY phonograph? I can't recall ever hearing any higher numbers.

it appears that the winning bidder placed a single bid 5 seconds before the auction ended.
Wow.. he wanted that bad...

It makes you wonder what amount his (or her) "all in" bid was for. Great auction and congrats to the seller and buyer!

Well, I guess I'll pour myself a stiff drink and sit back spinning ANY Harry Reser disc with Tom Stacks on it.

I have a vague memory that a Moorish Marquetry VV-XVI brought in the $70,000 range a few years ago.
You can see a picture of one on page 135 of Look for the Dog, 2005 revised edition.
