Awhile back when I started this thread I planned on posting some pics for dusters I'd brought from the US but could not find them in my luggage. Well a side benefit of our recent trip to Croatia was that when we started packing, my wife found these in the liner of my suitcase.

Not sure that this last one qualifies for a posting on this forum. I already had this one here in Europe and use it whenever I play 78s or DDs. I bought it new when I was in highschool for use with my LPs (which will give many of you an idea of my age). Anyway it still works great.

Since there is already a four year old thread on record dusters. I would like to revive it after reading BrianKeith has over 200. I for one would love to see some. Also, I'm sure many have found more in the last four years. I know I have. I will add an early Berliner (Canadian) wood & paper along with two (Kent Phonograph Co.) brushes....one with a center needle container and one without. Hopefully we will see others.... ;).

A small selection of my 200++ collection of round record dusters: The varieties from "mom & pop" small shops are endless, and I assume they were all "give-a-ways" when you purchased a phonograph or some records from their store. Yet many like the Decca dusters have no shop name printed on them at all. And of cousre I love the faces of the Andrew Sisters and Guy Lombardo!! Example: I have over 20 of the dark red columbia dusters with different shops advertising on each one. Same goes for the RCA Victors and the Duotone dusters. So far I have counted three round sizes, most made by the Philadelphia Badge Company. And 12 different color and patterns of "fuzzy backs". (not sure of the material they used) Colorful and fun

Very nice BrianKeith. I will add a few more onto the thread. One, called the "Rosalie Record Cleaner" that you leave on the table while playing. A hole for both 10 & 12 inch tables. Unfortunately I can not make out the manufacture's name stamped into the bottom area. Has anyone else seen one of these??. I could almost say I have a maid clean my records.... .

And the color varieties / patterns seem endless! (the cleaning side) Keep posting your duster photos - very good reference material here!

I have always thought that record dusters were somewhat overlooked in the phonograph collecting hobby. There are literally hundreds of different dusters, and as with
the phonographs, you will never be able to acquire them all. Here is a small portion of the celluloid dusters that I have collected over the years. Being from
St.Louis, I look for dusters from here as does chem_jv.
