Hello,
All I did was go over the entire case and lid lightly with dark oak Restore a finish and 0000 steel wool. There were also a few very tiny cracks that I filled with dark oak colored wax furniture crayons.

Great job! I'd be tempted to bill the ebay seller for your time repairing it. Maybe not so easy getting it.

I think I to would be tempted to contact the seller with before and after pictures and a bill for the repair. The seller should be happy it didn't get returned.

Not many people understand how to properly clamp an item. In many cases you really can't have too many clamps. (Some folks don't use any.)

I use cabinet wood glue look for it at HD or Lowes the best on the market.
