I know of one bidder who withdrew from bidding due to the amount of scratches on the front right side of the bedplate. The location where you would place your hand when winding up the machine. Looks almost like it may have been caused by a ring. When spending this amount he wanted one in pristine condition.

Yeah, I had seen this one too. Truly an Early machine still using the "IDEAL" name without the -IA on the end. What a rare find. The Seller must have crapped his pants when he saw the end auction results..

A really nice find.. The pics of it were great.. It would have been nice to see some more pics of the back of the machine.. but oh well.

And so g**g took it. I took a look at the list of bidders. It followed the usual pattern. During the course of a week while the item is listed, several bidders will keep pecking away and raise the price. They will often bid multiple times. At the very end, a completely new bidder appears and places the winning bid. Game over.

I think most of us know who g**g is. I wonder if he will post some pictures of it once he gets it.
