How does this work when you mail payment? I don't use pay pal.

The APS Membership database, for 2017 Membership, is open for business. When convenient, you can select your appropriate country Plan for 2017 and pay via PayPal. During this process you will be prompted to create a Username and Password of your choosing, for access to Member Restricted content.

Harvey,

Mail payments are working the same as always. The difficulty Rod's talking about stems from the changes currently being made to the APS web site. The mail option is not affected. :)

I just registered a few minutes ago on the APS site and paid my 2017 membership. All went very smoothly.

My registration yesterday went smoothly, and seamlessly, too.

The APS has had its best minds at work on the web site (I've not been allowed anywhere near it!), and it looks like they've fixed the "Join Us" process.

I'm told that the massive archives will be available imminently. Some of us have been experimenting with the "Search" feature (a HUGE benefit, as it will bring you every hit from each publication contained in the archive). It works well, and is a researcher's dream. Exciting times! :)

I'm "chomping at the bit"! The expansion of resources will, I'm sure, provide a real boost for us data junkies.

I would like to thank the many people who contribute the well informed articles in the APS. And to George who sorts through many aspects of the hobby and what is needed at different times. It's always informative and helpful to all levels of collecting. A special thank you to René Rondeau for the many hours of unappreciated work, which we do notice but sometimes forget to thank. Great job guys ! Happy holidays to all.
Sincerely,
D. Edwards

Hear, hear!

And Rod Pickett, for his tireless efforts to upgrade the website.

Thank you, all!

Gee - - begging for compliments sometimes works! 8-)

I'm glad Darold mentioned Rene. The June 2016 issue marked his 50th issue as Editor! The benchmark went unheralded except among the Board members, and I feel bad about that for dropping the ball. Is it too late to celebrate 52 issues? Anyway, Rene is a treasure, as are Rod and Jeff, without whom the APS literally would not function.

Thanks again for the kind words! :)

I managed to make my 2017 subscription payment but when trying to log in I get a message saying "your account has not been approved yet." :(
