Thanks Uncle Vanya, that sounds interesting. Could you please elaborate a bit more about the process of padding a shellac finish? So far I had only limited success with repairing or re-amalgamating shellack finishes.

I did try to reamalgamate what finish was left, however, it was too far gone in many areas which resulted in an even color. So I took it all off and was pleased with the results given what I started with.

I have used original material as an additive to new material to keep the color pallet with good results. In this case, it was not to be.
Why do we need signatures when we are on a first avatar basis?
