I use my Edison C 250 for "Standard" Diamond Discs; my Edison 1-C for Edison L-P records; my VV-VXI for "78's"; my Triumph A(2) and Graphophone BKT (it's LOUD, and plays quite well) for 2-minute cylinders; and a lowly Amberola D-X for listening to Blue Amberols. The D-X is certainly not optimal, as it is prone to "fluttering"; I will eventually procure a nice Amberola V as an upgrade.

Acoustic - VV-XVII
Electric - VV-8-7 school house or Philco Beam of Light
Pathé - reproducer attachment for XVII
Edison DD - B250
Cylinders 2m - Triumph B
Cylinders 4m - Opera
I don't really play any of my external horn Victors even though they all work and sound great.

Fran: Have you tried using MicaMonster's (Wyatt's) belt material on you Amberola D-X?
I've changed out all my cylinder belt machines with it, and it's made a big difference in each case.

Edison Triumph Model-E with an O reproducer and a Wood Cygnet horn. For my Discs I use an Edison C-2 Radio/Phono. Both machines produce optimum sound reproduction.

Edison Triumph Model-E witty a wooden horn awfully close to trying to look like an opera. (That's the sound of somebody who can't afford an opera).

probably my inner jealousy.
Only joking I can't say anything about a triumph with a wooden cygnet there georgues looking machines.mI am playing my cylinders with an Edison standard b with 4 minute gearing horizontal carridge and a wooden radio loudspeaker horn! A hobo's
hi-fi my dad calls it

Actually it looks fairly decent and sounds it too! Only paid £290 for it all together! Can't argue with that.

78s on my VV-XVI L-door.
DDs on my A-80, because it is conveniently located and not covered by anything else.

Brunswick Cortez
Edison Opera
Amberola 1A
I miss my Orthophonics. I still have them, just can't play them without clearing everything off the tops.

Vic 2 and VV-XVII for acoustic 78's
VE-8-30 or Brunswick 106 for electric 78's
Model A Triumph with O and cygnet for 2/4 min cylinders.
I also like using my mid-50's tube RCA "Portable Victrola" for electric playback of later electric 78's.

It depends on what room I'm in, but, these are scattered around the house:
EMG Mk IX for anything lateral disc, acoustic or electric, this gets played daily, sometimes for hours.
Edison A-275 for DDs.
Edison Triumph D-2 with Oak MM Horn and Model O or Diamond B reproducers for anything but brown wax.
Pathé Model IV (I think that's what it is) for Pathé discs.
Victor 10-50 for Orthophonic discs, or the 8-8 or 8-35.
HMV 102 for beer drinking on the deck on warm days.
