No, I don't think I could attempt making this. I just respect your talents taking on a project like this. Maybe if you do another one, it would be nice to see photos from start to finish.

Thanks Ken. If I do make a few more, I will keep track of my time and document the process. I have no plans at this time.

Never one to leave well enough alone, I dismantled the reproducer and faced a few thousandths of the face then engraved a new serial number that was more appropriately sized. I also dulled the finish and aged it a little with a torch. That should be it unless I am sending some things for plating.

An absolutely incredible replica! Always nice to see a new part--that is almost a piece of artwork.

Still hurts a little to think about the "period correct typewriter" you pulled the screws from...I kind of like--no, I adore the old glass-key typewriters, especially the big old office models. Fun to restore, too.

Good job with building up the new Berliner! Bet it sounds good too!

I wonder how one would look displayed under an old shaded oil lamp with a stack of resin 78s next to it?

Thank you for the kind words. I thought that this thread was long gone.

I have only built the one unit. I could make parts, but I have not produced any extras yet. I am always up for an opportunity.
