Every Fireside I've ever seen, including this one, has a small crane hole in the casting near the front of the gear cover. The hole accepts the small two piece crane that provides support for the little morning glory horn. The Edison Standard size horn, painted blue with flowers, was occasionally sold with the Fireside. Friend Stan S. has that outfit with an Edison Standard size crane with foot. Stan's also has a second foot in the front. The second foot doesn't have have a hole to accommodate the crane. Even with the second foot it's pretty tippy. The #10 Cygnet is perfect for the Fireside. I hope this helps.B is less common than A. I also have a B however with no hole on the bedplate for use of horn crane nor any evidence of cygnet horn bracket mounting on it. Wondering it either a very early or late B put into production.
