That's the motor that I call the "ham tin" motor
I dont have a machine with one of those but they must be a better single spring motor than the earlier types if you were getting two records from one wind.
I'd say one of the Victor springs will fit it, but you will probably have to remove the spring & measure it.
They're only a small spring so it shouldn't be any problem removing it from the barrel.
I've got a video on youtube that shows you how if you haven't done one before.
Depending on where the break is, you might be able to repair it, but even loosing 3 or 4 inches off a spring can make a huge difference to the power, especially if it's broken in the inner coils.
Another book you might want to get is called "Collecting Phonographs & Gramophones" by Christopher Proudfoot. It includes a section in the back that covers repairs & restorations etc. It also has a neat section on HMV machines that you wont find in any other books, as well as coving Edison, Columbia & many European/Continental machines.

The seller mentions the 104 in his ad, but it seems to be a "one size fits many" type spring.

Alright, I've taken the barrel out. But on what side do I open it.
Is on the side that I will show you in a picture longer down, or is it the side with the teethes?

Wow! It doesn't look like the guy ever reconditioned the motor.

Once you've wiped all the grease away, you should find a retaining wire around the inner circumference of the barrel, as in the picture below. You should be able to get the blade of a small screw driver in behind this wire where it joins and lever the wire out.
Just keep your hand on the top of the barrel as you do it, so when the wire comes out, it doesn't go flying across the room.
Once the wire is removed, the top cover should lift off.

Well, I opened it, and the center of the spring is broken, so it's no point repairing it.
I'll buy a new one from the link Ortho_Fan posted.
