Another thing to consider would be to make these available online to paid members about the same time they are put in the mail. This would be especially beneficial for those of us "cross pond". I'm not sure how technically complex this would be but just a suggestion.

The latest issues of the magazine are put online just as soon as they are indexed.

As an aside, how many of us are familiar with the Subject Index that exists for the APS magazine? It's at the bottom of this page:

Mike Sherman graciously volunteers to index each issue. The March 2019 issue has not been indexed yet, but it should be soon now...
