Circassian XVII was going for if you happened to see the price?
Its probably out of my league but would be nice to know what they
go for if one should pop up locally. Thanks!
That one was also listed for $5000 (also by Lynn). Not sure if it ever sold; I didn't go on Sunday.

Ok, yeah its definitely out of my league! :o

Guest wrote:Great pictures! Thanks. I was there and as I was leaving saw you two on the lawn having your picnic and thought you must have been a bit cold. It was pretty cool though to see a blanket and a phonograph playing records outside. Lots of fun.

Union was great fun, but I think many machines that should have sold did not. There seemed to be some caution. I know our booth had a few machines I thought would have gone during setup that never did sell. But, there were great purchases made and lots of friends met up that don't see each other too often. It's my favorite phonograph event of the year and I look forward to it all year long.

I'm happy, tired and poor but I got some great stuff. So back to work to save up for next year!

Dan: I just changed the ownership on that, it shows up as your post now. ;)

Adam: Thanks for posting the photos. I finally got a chance to take a look through them, and they’re excellent. Somewhere in the future I’ll have to make it to a Union show.

Hopefully you had a great time. Any exciting additions to your collection?

Only about 50 78s, David! No machines for me this year, though I was tempted by a pristine VV-35 that a collector had out in the back porch area.

I have a neighbor in my building with a wonderful weathered or English oak VV-XVI, whom I couldn't persuade to sell it to me about a decade ago, but after a chat yesterday, may be inclined to do so now. It would need a full motor service, but otherwise is superb.

The walnut XVII is wonderful but there is some doubt if it's American or Circassian. In general, I think prices at Union were quite low. The asking price on several very nice Vic VI's were under $5,000. I bought a big mahogany rear mount Zonophone (about the size of a Vic V) with a mahogany Music Master horn for $2,200. A couple of years ago I would have expected to see if for sale at twice that amount. Jerry Blais

There are a couple of pages of pictures on the WIMAPS site as well. Enjoy.

Thanks Coyote & Victor78 for the great pictures! Looks like there was a great selection of machines as always.
