And I learned, again, something new too. I did not know that Dual had made acoustic gramophones.
I have googled a bit the last hour, but not yet found a similar machine, so my guess is that the young woman should
take very well care of this machine, and cherish and value it as both as a keepsake, and a historic gramophone.
This is what I call good "nostalgia". If someone has something to add, it is of course welcome:)

I only knew the motor was a Steidinger because I have a Linguaphone portable machine that uses a similar motor. but it has a governor problem. The disc that the felt pad runs on is distorted, and I have been trying in vain to source a replacement. It took me some time to identify the motor! Out of interest, I have a Dual portable that incorporates a Dual motor that runs on both spring power or mains electricity. If I can dig it out, I'll post a picture.

Found the Dual machine. Note the similarity between the Steidinger motor and the later Dual speed controls.
