The Royal Warrant version was also used on Monarchs in 1909, but usually on the rear of these (under the back bracket, in place of the gilt City Road transfer previously used). Sorry, I haven't got one to photograph, but I have seen it, to name but two, on a mahogany Senior Monarch ('Ionic'), and also on an early Intermediate Monarch. Which reminds me, some of the latter were made in so-called satinwood, like the Pigmy. It is not very common, because many such machines sold in 1909 would have been from stock made in 1908, whereas the Pigmy didn't go into production until 1909. In general, the Gramophone Co seems not to have updated the labels on existing stock.
