So the final outcome of the 10-35 at Stanton's was actually between two crazy collectors that really wanted it. I was one of those two crazy people and I was not the winner.

We thoroughly discussed prior to the sale that we both wanted it really badly and the competition was all very friendly. But in the end he with the bigger pocket book won! ;)

The final two bids were on site so the buyers premium was 10% not 23%. Final bid $2300.00 and 10% premium made it $2530. Plus Michigan sales tax you know. YIKES!!!

Although this was a particularity mint machine that even had it's original leather albums in good shape in reality it is worth realistically more like $1100.00 retail.

By that $1100 assessment I paid way too much for mine, too- and strangely enough, I don't even care!

$1100 for a mint 10-35 that likely worked and had nice albums? These are rare, and they have that nice, big steel horn. I think the sale price seemed quite fair.

I feel lucky I got my 10-35 when I did. I'd always wanted one and although the condition isn't too great, this makes me feel like I got a good deal.

Well George, maybe I should have gone higher then. But I doubt the other bidder would have quit even over $3000.00 and I did not want it to that level. ;)

In any event I will sell him some of rubber parts that it needed that Greg Bogantz had not replaced. :D
