No pix yet? Shucks, I want to see what I've been missing. Meanwhile, I discovered a direct conflict between the info in LFTD, which says only walnut, and Paul Edie's site, which says only mahogany (see http://www.victor-victrola.com/8-12.htm). The one I stupidly passed on definitely was not mahogany, so it must have been walnut. Ah, well.....

I've had a number of these machines. It seems that the Maxine is more common in brown mahogany, gloss finish, with oxidized trim,mike spin87's example, although models do turn up in dull medium walnut (the color of a light 8-30) and glossy light walnut (French walnut). These are generally early examples wit the gold plated hardware.
