I'm very encouraged by reading this thread. I've been saying for the past 25 years that we need to attract more younger people to our hobby.

Happy to see another young person getting into this hobby thanks to the generous help of a seasoned collector. As one of the younger enthusiasts on the east coast (I'm 17 :lol: ) it's always nice to know others are out there mentoring. I feel the best thing for the youth of the hobby is for the more experienced to be as much of a teacher as possible, minus the pop quizzes!

That is AWESOME! When I was 14 If I asked for something like that I would get a big fat “NO!” As a response. Took me until I was almost 26 to get my first DD machine! Enjoy it kid!
