Ufff... Anything on french romantic organ music is haunting and marvelous... Widor, Pierné, Duruflé, Franck... All them have beautiful original music.

From the late 78rpm era: Charlie Barnet's Gloomy Sunday kinda gives me the chills.

I agree with so many of the offerings listed...

Here is my most "haunting" piece:

Jussi Björling, tenor, sings Pearl Fishers Duet with Robert Merrill, baritone; "Au Fond du Temple Saint" Act I. Bizet. on a 12" recording. Lots of other recordings, but this is the classic. You can find it on YouTube. His Master's Voice D.B.21426

Not much, really.

-Own:
Dick Powell's "Was It a Dream?"
Orchestre Raymonde's "The Haunted Ballroom"
L' Arlessiene suite - Carillon (when played at 33rpm it sounds like an organ)
St Matthew's Passion (reduction into 14 sides)

-Heard
Mostly tracks of Everywhere at the End of Time, which include "The Waltz you Saved for Me" or "To Be Forgotten"
Miserere - Ferruccio Giannini (1899 version)
El Caserío - Romanza (Miguel Fleta)
