All, I sent a PM to the seller a few hours ago expressing my interest in saving it if there are no other takers. I will keep everyone posted.

I have a sentimental side.... Even if I am out of room, more or less, I will always save them if I am able. I'll keep everyone posted.

Update: I still have not received a response to my PM. I just didn't want everyone to think I fell off the radar. Will update when I know more.....

I once drove 4 hours down to Boston to pick up a 710, it was sitting in the driveway under a tarp after it had rained. It took quite a feat to get it back and going. The saving grace was that it was full of its original albums and they were full of Syrian music which I have sold thus making back the $ I spent in gas plus a little extra for my time. I would drive 6 hours for an 810 but the very Northwest tip of Vermont is almost double that to Virginia. I'm glad someone from this forum may be the recipient. Fingers crossed!

Hi everybody - I'm sorry for taking so long to respond. I have been very busy moving. I moved and hour and a half away from my old home and had countless records and other machines to move along with the usual household items. But, I have good news. I found someone through a friend that wanted the machine. He is new to the hobby so I supplied him with a bunch of new needles and stacks of records. Of course, I gave him the rundown on the basics of mechanical phonographs and he may now be bitten with the collecting bug - we shall see. I was sad to see the machine go, but I'm glad to have it with someone who will use and enjoy it. It sad dormant in my bedroom for far too long. Anyhow, it's all good now and I do truly apologize for the delay in updating everybody.
