Now back together. I gave it a crank and the motor took off. Now to disassemble the entire motor and clean it.

Yes, it's running now. And cleaned. I needed to adjust the endshake on the beveled gear that engages with the mainspring barrel. I think not so long ago someone had worked on this machine and fiddled with its endshake. There was too much. That beveled gear did not fully engage with the other beveled gear on the spindle, in fact it would sometimes slip. Now it's fine.
