I would have to run the analysis, which would be difficult because I would still be looking 15 miles away. I would love to have that machine......schweg wrote: So Brad, if the Circassian XVI is only about 15 miles drive, but about $9000 out of your way---How does less than half the price, but 1,700 miles drive work? I'm not so good at math!!

Hi Sean,
Wow, what a find!! Or couple of finds! And your refinishing jobs are top notch, as always....
You don't happen to have another set of albums for an L door just laying around, do you?
And folks, I've had the pleasure of meeting Lucy, she's a doll!!

Here is another nice L-Door. $600 seems much more reasonable. Not too bad...

Looks like fumed oak on the last one, my favorite Victor finish. L-doors seem to be popping up all over lately.
Gary, I have some VTLA / L-door record boxes, yes, I'll email you about them later this evening or tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure that Sean didn't refinish these, just clean and waxed the cabinets. It's all in the wrist action!GaryLC wrote:OrthoSean wrote:Thanks everyone, just for fun, here's a pic of the first three versions of the XVI together (now if I only could rustle up a Pooley flat top!). Yes, I should have phrased it better, I know Sean is king of using that Gojo!! He can make a dirty old machine look brand new again!

Beautiful machines and great job cleaning them up, Sean! I'm new to this and just picked up my second machine, a 1916 Victor XI that checks out great mechanically but looks like the first machine in your post in desperate need of a good cleaning and polishing. I hear about GoJo, Kotton Kleanser, Lemon oil all being used to clean up dirty cabinets and it makes a newbee like me very apprehensive about what to use??? Any input/advice from you or any other members would be GREATLY appreciated! I'd love to get my XI looking like yours!
Thanks!
Glenn

I'll try to put a post up in the "hints" section later today. Sorry it's taken a while, but it's been a busy week here.
