To built this beast, I had a lot of work to do - also some frustrating moments, the first horn crumbled... Later I found the right mixture of paper, glue and plaster.
But, all in all, it had been really a fun project.

One asked me, how loud this little beast is in db - Sadly I can´t measure the loudness in db - so I made a comparison between a portable phonograph and the big horn gramophone.

First I wanted to pick up the sound with a external micro, but after that I couldn´t synchronize the Audio and Videotrack.
So (also thereafter ) I put the original sound of the little camera-micro back (almost synchron
Sadly the little micro couldn´t capture the loud sound satisfyingly, but you get a good idea how loud this little beast is....

The larger horn isn't responsible for any increase in volume. If there is an increase in volume, it would be due to using different reproducers, etc. The larger horn definitely provides a richer sound, especially with regards to the bass. But the energy stored in the grooves of the record cannot be increased with a larger horn. An amp of some sort would be needed to do that. A larger horn does provide a fuller sound and by hearing your videos, sounds like you have quite an amazing range with this horn. Thanks for posting the videos!
