All Edisonics& LP machines have that cloth, as do all other late production models. I started a thread some time ago on original grille cloths, and there's even a late Amberola 50 pictured with this cloth.

I'm not sure exactly what year this cloth was first used, but it was obviously being used when the LP models came on the market in 1926. It may have been introduced a year or 2 before??
