Yep the one I have buried has the same id tags and states type B. Plays good. I remember picking this up eons ago at an auction for $25. Man those days are gone. Thanks again for sharing all those photos.........

In 285 it looks like parts of an early Telegraphone, the recording wire was wrapped in a spiral around the drum, and a magnetic head recorded and reproduced the sounds, it used a telephone transmitter and receiver. The Telegraphone was used to record telephone messages Circa 1898..
