I would love to do that, but with the extensiveness of the collection it would take forever. It's like I told someone the other day about my computer skills " if it dosen't have a crank on it, I cant opperate it" My kids have to help me with many things, still about a computer. I taught school for 30 years and had to use one but my knowledge is limited. I'll see what I can do.

Theres some beauties in there!

I see a few familiar "friends" mixed in there, some really fine machines you have!

Is the specialty painted decoration on that bulbous Sonora a factory or an after-market job? Very neat to see in any case.

The taller console (next to the banquet lamp with the painted owl decoration, nice lamp by the way!)--I'm thinking that's a Brunswick, but which model?

The mahogany console with the beefy facetted legs and carved decoration over the speaker doors looks like it should be something by Victor, like one of their custom cabinet jobs, but what phonograph maker is that one?

The Sonora is an after market job but very well done. If you can imagine this was used as storage in someones workshop!! I still need to find a replacement grill if anybody knows where I can find one.

The tall machine next to the banquet lamp is a Sonora with radio access (no radio, just space for it)

The mahogany console is a Victrola; a custom made VV346-501. The top is in three sections, the center is the victrola and each side opens seperately to accept radio equiptment. In the victor data book by Baumbach, page 37 is an artist's rendition of this very machine.

That's the way I found It. I'm not a purist, just a collector of these wonderful connections to the past.

I really like the Sonora.

It's also great to see a Victor VI that hasn't been restored within an inch of its life.

In going through my collection I have found lots of duplicates of standard machines,ie(12 VV-XI's, 7 VV-XIV's 3 C-250 edisons ect)
So to keep from loading many photos of the same model, even though there are many diffrent finishes, I thought I would upload the more unusual ones and some of my favorites. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy sharing! Wish you all could see them in person. Ed
