Very nice, JerryVan! Love the red "Tulip" horn on the BF(?)

I've spent many hours in Fran's "haven," and I can attest to its relaxing atmosphere. Fran's wife claims she sometimes finds him in there, curled into a fetal position and sucking his thumb.

Jerry, you've been holding out on us! I too admire that red "Tulip" horn on the BG Graphophone, as well as the late H&S No.5 crane below it supporting the black flowered TTCo. horn. Plus "Lily" horns in red and blue! Some beautiful cabinets too. I like the H&S disc cabinet under the "BY." Beautiful collection!

I just wanted to mention that I am very "inspired" by many of the photos on this thread. I have been rather discouraged lately that many of my machines currently reside in a "steel commercial building" with other general antiques. To be honest, I have recently toyed with selling off many of them for that reason... It's no fun when I don't see them for weeks or months at a time...

However, I am pleased to state that I have been lucky enough to recently acquire a historic home and I will have no problem designating at least one room for the machines I ultimately decide to keep...

Thank you for the inspiration! Below is a peek at my current situation - no jokes, please, LOL. They are not "all" coming home... ;) See "yankee trader" ….

And, yes... there are several more units that did not fit in this particular screenshot...

Did she also tell you she comes in and kicks me? Thanks for the kind words, George. I hope soon we can return to our visitation rights.

It'll be nice to see how you decorate your new home!

Thanks George & Fran too! Very high praise indeed! Maybe when we can get things cleared out some, I'll attach a few more photos. Our dining room looks like a storage shed right now, but there's a couple nice machines in there too, somewhere.

Granby,
I can't believe you have deprived your wife of one of the most useful timesavers a woman can have... a new, modern, wringer washing machine...
Do you make her do the laundry with a washboard and tub? :?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7xRM6usVAs

I will offer this preview... This is my dining room, on the left is one of the first phonographs produced by the Levy family, when they were called Leviolas, on the right is a Granby phonograph console - one of the last units produced before the company folded.

Neither unit is worth a lot in monetary value, but they represent great memories for me and key parts of my research... more pix to come in future months.

See, even us off brand collectors have good taste... :D

Good one! We do have some modern conveniences. However, I have an old monitor top GE refrigerator that she will not let me bring home also LOL.

The washing machine is cool and I see some very attractive floor model phonographs in that room too.

And the dining room scene is exactly what lowboy consoles are made for. Nice setting and some very unique and attractive phonographs.
