So from what you said there should be no toggle switch on a C-4. But there is a toggle switch on the R-6 and R-7, correct. That is how you turn the radio on with the 1930 models.

Correct, the power switch on the R6/R7 is a toggle switch.
The R4/R5/C4 power switch is a rotary type.

On my 1930 R-6 Edison radio, I'm missing the power cord. That's easy to replace except for the small female plug that goes in a small hole in the back of the power supply. Does anyone have one of those small female plugs. The plug would be just less than 1 inch in diameter. Hardware stores don't sell those anymore.

You might consider posting a wanted ad in the Yankee Trader section if you are looking for parts.

This is where I got my cloth cord for my victor re-45 it's a great website they have many colored clothes and they have the female end of plugs in quite a few colors and designs. Hope you find it as helpful as I have
