You're right - - as posted on the first page of this thread, it IS a Herzog cabinet; the No.832. An original catalog illustration is shown on page 90 (Fig. 2-87) of Phonographica. An actual example is pictured on page 189 (Fig. 4-45) of Antique Phonograph Accessories & Contraptions. Your cabinet can be found in the same book on page 187 (Fig.4-39).

I must admit that my lesser self becomes a little bewildered when I read that items such as these cabinets can't be found "...in any of the books..." The books are readily available!

I ran the cabinet to just over $400 and decided it was going to need to much more $$ to make it presentable.

I bought the Victrola and it did clean up nicely. Rebuilt the reproducer and it plays very well.

What model was the Victrola - I didn't see any mention of it here, but may have missed? Any photos?
