Here is a link I found to Duke Edwards auctions. http://www.dukesauctions.net/

There are no auctions listed for August 30 and September 1. But that may change as they update their site with info and maybe some pics so check back for updates.

As I understand it from another collector, there has been a bit of back and forth amongst the heirs about this sale, but I also understand that has been resolved by now. Perhaps the auction house is holding off on posting the sale until they are certain it's a "go". Of course, it DOES take time to take stock of all that's held within that big old house, to take photos, so on. There is just so much random "stuff" to wade through, I don't envy anybody that has to tackle this job.

I am not sure but is this the same Jerry that published "Jerry's Musical News" back in the 1970's and early 1980's. Forgive me of my ignorance.

No- Jerry's Musical News was Jerry Madsen from Minnesota (I think)-- I talked with him a couple years ago and he was doing fine. Haven't talked to him since that time. I hope he is doing well.

Jerry M. is fine. He comes pretty regularly to the Rüdesheim shows here in Europe.

Pics and info about this auction are now on-line. All pics look to have been taken right at the house, as things sat when they walked in the door. This will be a 2-day sale, which doesn't surprise me in the least....
