Good evening/morning all-----

My name is Kirk Palmatier.

"Kirkwood" was a nickname given to me by late phonograph collector Jerry Donnell, for reasons I didn't understand until recently. His nephew is named Kurt, and over the phone the names sound almost alike, so I became Kirkwood for his understanding of who the heck was phoning him.

He had humorous and colorful nicknames for many of his other friends (e.g. Railroad Mike, Brigitte Crackmirror) but this one was mine and it just stuck over these many passing years.
