Good evening/morning all-----
My name is Kirk Palmatier.
"Kirkwood" was a nickname given to me by late phonograph collector Jerry Donnell, for reasons I didn't understand until recently. His nephew is named Kurt, and over the phone the names sound almost alike, so I became Kirkwood for his understanding of who the heck was phoning him.
He had humorous and colorful nicknames for many of his other friends (e.g. Railroad Mike, Brigitte Crackmirror) but this one was mine and it just stuck over these many passing years.

I chose the name Swing Band Heaven as a big part of my musical interest is swing music and I also tied it up with my you tube channel which featured mainly swing music. My name is Richard and as you'll see from my info I live in New Zealand although I originally come from the UK. Although I haven't signed my posts for a while - sorry just got out of the habit - I used to sign them all in the same way - RJ
