Here is a, not so good picture of the caution plate. I'll take some better pictures the next time I play it.
When I first got it, it sounded terrible. I made the mistake of rebuilding the soundbox before testing it on another gramophone. I have learned to leave them alone if they sound OK and only rebuild them if absolutely necessary. It still sounded terrible. It came to life once I totally dismantled it and flushed out several petrified moths and an acorn from the conduit.

Here is the letter of satisfaction from Frederick Delius used by Michael Ginn for advertising purposes in 1928.....

I like the dig at HMV, who ran a series of record sleeves showing eminent performers posing with what purported to be their own gramophones. Several of these sleeves have been featured in another thread.

Out of curiosity; what are the dimensions of the horn on the Mark VIII? Specifically, how long is the horn, and how wide is it at the bell?

Frank James's book states that the 1928 Mark VIII had a 50" Wilson Panharmonic horn, with a 24 ½" bell.

Thank you! I should have referenced my copy of the book first before posting, though.
