Thanks for sharing Bill, always nice to know who the competition is when I’m out looking for Saint Louis machines, records, dusters, etc. You have a great collection.

I LOVE the Christmas dusters posted by StL Bill!
When life circumstances and serious illness in my immediate family caused me to curtail my machine collecting, I found that collecting dusters and needle tins was a great way to inexpensively stay involved in the hobby.
I would love to find some Christmas brushes sometime in the future!

I have always found the celluloid record dusters to be the most interesting, especially ones made by the Philadelphia Badge Company. They must have made a zillion of these and then imprinted them with the stores name, address, logo, whatever. Just look at the most common one - the yellow and red Decca Bing Crosby dusters - I have seen over 50 different shops printed on them. I have eleven different Bing Crosbys in yellow and seven in red. Same goes for the Duotone and Columbia dusters, and the MGM and Brunswicks. The yellow, red, and gold Victors are also a dime a dozen on EBay. The Edison ones seem to bring a big premium because of the name Edison, but they too are actually pretty common. I have six differnt shops printed on Edison dusters. Now please understand that I am only talking about the round celluloid dusters that come in three (maybe four) diffent sizes - not the wood or cardboard ones.

Here are some more from me....BTW......I know I asked already. However, does another member have or has seen a record brush with needle tin in the middle like I picture ??.Since most (if not all) of these celluloid brushes were made in Philly. So, there must be others???. Also, the "Kent" brush shows an Edison model...??????.

Here are some more pictures of some of my dusters. I have included a picture of the 1 duster that I have that has a needle cup in the middle. I have only seen a handful of these, I assume that they are fairly scarce.

I meant to ask in the last post, does anyone have or anyone seen another record duster from the Modernola Co? I have yet to hear of another, but there must be more out there.

Here are a couple of mine! My favorite is the top one, I collect items from the old Czech neighborhoods of Chicago and the top one has some Czech text on the top as well as the dealers name which is Czech from an ethnic Czech neighborhood. I would love to see some more from Chicago if anyone has any (I would love to buy a few more as well! )

Lots of great and unique record dusters out there that I never knew existed. I don't have a collection of them, but I have a Brooks Automatic Repeating Phonograph duster that I came across this past year. It is neat also because it advertises Gennett Records. I had to have it because I have an oak Brooks phonograph.

Those Okeh ones are awesome I guess you could make a collection of these alone , does anyone know how many artists appear ? and I guess a lot of shops had their addresses on them ! brilliant topic 1
