I just happen to remember that I have a vinyl pressing of "Louisa" Tetrazzini 9-inch Zonophone record from 1904. It sounds really vivid, and my best favorite Tetrazzini record I've came across. (For some reason, I always find her singing kinda difficult to swallow for me.)

Thanks a million George! You told me more in 2 sentences than I found in 2-3 hours of looking online. Also funny that you mention several Zonos on eBay. The record I mentioned buying was in fact one of those on eBay. LOL. I got it for $13.88 and suspect I got a good deal.

Glad to help - - and yes, I'd call $13.88 a good deal!

I've seen and heard a bunch of Columbia black and silver label discs with announcements. It was useful because quite a few of the discs had illegible titles scrawled in white ink. They were once owned by John Randolph Boling who was somehow employed by the Columbia Graphophone Co.
