thanks for the photo...

you sure that's shabby chic and not original? there seems to be a lot of detail with the gold accents and all.

... and that red credenza... I've liked that machine since you first posted it... I'm still on the fence myself as to how old the paint is on it (saw a similar one once before, professionally done, but in the 60s I think for a theater/production company, was green though)... nevetheless, I saw yours as well in the sale section - if I had the room and the spare cash (and a means of getting it to NJ), we'd probably be talking by now.

No need to be on the fence! The paint is original to when the machine was new. The decal over the finish states: 'Louisville Radio & Phonograph Company', and I know who owned the machine originally. It has a chequered past.

I LIKE the red Credenza! It wouldn't fit into my living room (color-wise), but it's a great looking machine!

I would especially like to get my hands on the little green VVX that this post started with.

Previous quote I made: "Why are these things always green? I'd really like a nice blue one"!!

OK, I was just kidding when I posted this. But now, my dream has come true.

Now if I can just figure out how to drive over and pick it up!!
