I just got a notice from Kanopy that they are now streaming this on demand. Kanopy is a service for streaming movies that is provided through local libraries. Usually you are allowed a small quota of free titles each month (I think 7?), and you may be able to get additional views beyond that for a small fee.

In any case, if you missed it on broadcast TV, this is one way for you to be able to see it. Check with your local library to see if they offer this service.

Also, I have "on demand" from my cable company and PBS has the who thing available there, so that could also be an option. I watched the entire thing over several evenings and finished it this past Sunday. I'll withhold being critical, it could've been better, but it also could've been much worse. I enjoyed it for what it was and it was a nice little break from my usual "work until 10PM each night" routine to boot!

I have seen four episodes of Country Music. I like it!

I've learned about the development of the recording and radio industries, as it pertains to this genre of music. Within this story we're introduced to a few recognized names who made notable impressions. These artists where influenced by other notable artists, and we hear a little about them. In this presentation we see a progression that informs us about the musical roots, its distribution, its branches as it changes through the years. It may not be as complete as some would like, but I think for a broader audience it is informative and interesting. It's a good story. It may even be enough to pique interest into one's own deeper exploration.
