Thanks for this. I know very little about different types of wood and I had assumed all teak was much the same :D

Anyway - there are some slight detail difference between the lids of the 2 machines - my teak 162 does have a extra 'lip' of moulding around the bottom of the lid (see photos below) - but I'm sure this doesn't account for the very significant differences in the weight - so it must be the actual wood it is made out of.
