Nice horn! I was taking about using a much bigger cone though !! I’m glad someone else has tried it!

I kept mine to a minimum, so the horn could be self supporting and so I could use a single sheet of cardboard which id purchased from a news agency..
This horn is 24" long and only about 6" of the traffic cone goes into the end, so a 4-5' horn would be easily done, and probably even bigger.

Jerry... it would be great if you record one of the performances in any YT video to share
it wouldn't be strange that this shape of horn and successive chambers in such a natural wood would take care of the infamous Exhibition harsh resonances...
it reminds me of the Cheney theories ..

We are currently away from home. I brought the Victor V with me to give me something to do. The majority of my gourd horns are made for cylinder machines. When I select a gourd I look for interesting appearance and shapes. When home I'll do some tests to compare a gourd horn against metal horns. When picking out a horn for the Victor V it was really difficult to find a gourd that was large enough to mate with the big Victor V. The gourd horn mated to the Victor IV in this reply is smaller and the majority of the elbow is inside the smaller chamber and is aimed directly towards the bigger chamber. I suspect the sound from this horn is better than the one on my Victor V but we'll test at home.
