I went a little nuts at the time. The Post Office also gave me their big poster advertising these.

There was a big controversy regarding the first poster issued for this stamp. The USPS was ordered to remove and destroy all of them. There are just a few known in the hands of collectors.AmberolaAndy wrote:Ok folks get ready for some articles from 1977. The centennial year of the phonograph.

From October 16, 1977: apparently there was a local PBS special that showed Edison phonographs playing. Sadly since VCRs were a luxury item in 1977. I don’t think a copy of this program exists

San Francisco Chronicle? It appears to be from a paper in Rochester, NY.
