I'm glad I was wrong, and the machine turned out to be mostly was it was supposed to be. Had the motor also been changed, it might have been a whole different kettle of fish I guess, but for the price you've done well to get something only needing a horn, a couple minor parts and a shot of botox ;)
Congrats schweg, that's one more saved!

Shane, Thanks! The first thing I did was open up the case to make sure the motor was correct. The turntable was stuck to the spindle so I couldn't just pop it off for a look-see. It turned out pretty well in the end.

I do have a ques for all those who offered advice. Are there slip in reproduction elbows being made anywhere or should I just grind the flange off a repro one until an original comes along?

 I've been wondering the same thing! I could use a couple myself.

Hey that's definitely presentable. Where did you get the horn??? They go well together.

Had that one as a spare. It's an HMV so I thought would look all right

In answer to the question about elbows - Phonophan in NY has them for sale:

"soundgen" on Ebay (UK) also have had the modern replica drop-in elbows - they are very good quality too!

Well it sure looks "all right" to me. Whether it would have been offered with that particular machine I have no idea but it certainly looks like it could have.

Steve, do you know?
