Santa Claus Hides in the Phonograph - the scarier the version, the better.

Just me in the house this Christmas - I'm going to put up the Halloween decorations again instead! 😁💀😁

One of my favorite Christmas records is "Christmas Tidings "by the Shannon Quartet on Columbia. It's a medley of carols. edisonplayer

I am adding two more traditional Norwegian Christmas songs. They were both originally issued on 78 rpm, in 1952 ( Julekveldsvisa/ ChristmasEveBallad). This song is probably the most loved Christmas song played here at Christmas. The second song was released on Columbia 78 rpm in 1949, and tell the story of how a mouse family celebrates their Christmas. It is simply named: Musevisa/ The Mouse Ballad. The word "ballad" does not really cover this style of music, but I could not really find a better word in English when googling this style of music. ( Vise/visa = traditional ballad)

I am lucky to have them both on an original Columbia 78 record.

The composer, singer and guitarist is the Norwegian troubadour: Alf Prøysen, who also was a writer of children's books, and his books has been translated to numerous languages.
